Using Set Substitute Prices

1. At the Customer Mask field, enter the customer code or customer maskA mask is used to conduct a wild card search. Visually a mask is represented by a series of forward slash marks (///), sometimes with a letter, letters, or number preceding it (1/////// or AB////). For example, if you enter AB//// this indicates that you want to list all customer defined in the system whose names begin with AB. for the sales orders that need to have selling prices changed. Or, enter "//////" to select all customers.

2. Enter the ship date for the sales orders that have selling prices that need to be changed at the Ship Date field.

3. At the Item field enter the item group and item that need to have the selling price changed. Press F3 for a list of item groups.

4. A Prices screen will appear with the following columns:

• Frt – Freight terms
  • Col – Collect
  • PPD – Prepaid
  • PPC – Prepaid and billed to the customer as a line item on the sales order based on the freight-type cost adjustment.
• Cust – The customer ship-to ID code
• Name – The customer ship-to name
• Ordered – The total weight ordered
• Un – Unit of measure ordered
• Price – The current selling price on the order
• Un – The invoicing unit of measure.

From the Prices window the new selling price can be entered for each customer. Press F9 to display a Price Detail window. The Price Detail shows how the selling price is being distributed between the item and price exceptions applied for priced and ready orders. Open and shipped orders will not show price detail. Press F10 to exit.

5. The following command options will display:

• Change Price – Select Change Price to return to the Prices window.
• Set All Prices – Select Set All Prices to enter a single selling price to apply to all sales orders.
  • Enter the selling price to apply to all sales orders.
  • The following message will display: "Apply new price of $ XX.XX now? No/Yes."
    • Select no to return to the command line.
    • Select yes to apply the new selling price to all orders.
• Update – Select Update to save the changes to the selling price(s)
• Exit – Select Exit to exit the Set Substitute Prices without updating any changes.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.

6. Press Enter in the Customer Mask field to exit the Set Substitute Prices option.
